N23 Burnout among European IBD specialists – a survey supported by ECCO

Abstract Background The aim of the study was to measure level burnout and factors influencing it, as well analyse personal professional risk among European IBD professionals. Methods 102 respondents (56.9% male, average age 48 (SD:10.6)) completed questionnaire, which consisted four different psychological constructs (burnout, depression, somatization well-being), sociodemographic, health-related work-related factors. Results In our study, 47.1% professionals showed burnout. For all three combined, 17.6% participants scored at least in moderate range. highest rate depersonalization (medium 48%; high 47.1%). 33.3% reported decreased performance 5.9% emotional exhaustion. Depression, well-being correlated with exhaustion depersonalization, but only depression accomplishment. Emotional age, physical activity time spent health care an specialists.
